Biography
To give you a little background on my clinical and prescribing
experience, I provided psychopharmacology treatment as a Psychiatric Nurse
Practitioner at the Stone Center Counseling Service at Wellesley College for
the past four years. During that time I was also a full time Assistant
Professor at Regis College. As Assistant Professor and Lead Instructor for the
Regis College Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program, I taught the complete
range of psychopharmacology in the yearlong course for graduate Psychiatric Nursing
students. I completed my undergraduate work at Harvard and my Masters in
Psychiatric Nursing at Northeastern.
My prescribing practice both at Wellesley College and, before that,
at the Edinburg Center Outpatient Psychiatric Department, has provided me with
extensive experience treating clients with a variety of diagnoses. I have worked often with clients to treat the
full ranges of: Mood D/O, Anxiety D/O, ADHD, Substance Dependence, Sleep D/O,
Thought D/O, and Eating D/O.
As a careful and cautious prescriber, a large part of my practice
involves working together with each client to explore the best available
treatment options for that person at that time.
